He Hid Cameras In Homes For Years — Victims Had No Idea They Were Being Recorded

On April 17, 2026, at Northampton Crown Court in Northampton, England, 33-year-old Jean-Pierre Francis was sentenced after investigators uncovered a years-long pattern of secretly installing hidden cameras inside people’s homes and private spaces.

Authorities said the investigation began in May 2024 in Northampton after a woman discovered a concealed camera inside her bedroom.

Detectives later determined that Francis had been secretly recording victims for nearly a decade, with evidence showing he captured footage between 2015 and 2025.

According to investigators, the cameras were hidden inside everyday items, including pens, USB sticks, electrical plugs, and even a shower gel bottle.

Officials said six women, ranging in age from their 20s to 60s, were identified as victims.

Following his arrest, investigators seized multiple devices and recovered hundreds of videos during forensic analysis.

Francis was charged with six counts of voyeurism and later pleaded guilty to the offenses.

On March 13, 2026, he appeared before Northampton Crown Court, where he was sentenced on April 17 to three years and six months in prison.

Authorities also issued a destruction order for all devices used in the crimes and imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his access to recording devices.

He has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

Investigators described the case as a sustained and deeply invasive violation of privacy, carried out over several years using concealed technology in places where victims should have felt safe.
